My peonies are blooming, hot floral tea joy is here

Hot floral teas are my favorite escape from stress. The peonies are in full bloom right now so I plan to take full advantage of their vibrant existence.

The floral joy begins by adding fresh peony petals to my clear water bottle for gorgeous and fragrant hydration throughout the day.

I also create floral arrangements with the peonies (making sure not to incorporate any foliage toxic to humans). After a few weeks, I dismantle the arrangements and separate the delicate peony petals for two types of hot tea:

  1. Soft petals steeped for 3-10 minutes until desired flavor and aroma are achieved for instant peony joy.
  2. Dry the petals on a flat surface (avoid sunlight to prevent petal color fade) or in a dehydrator then steep for 3-10 minutes until desired flavor and aroma are achieved.

  • Waste from birds, frogs, and insects on the plant(s) could lead to contamination that may make you extremely ill.
  • Contaminated rainwater or soil feeding the plant(s) can make for a potentially deadly cocktail.

Proceed with caution if you decide to go down the road of making your own hot teas. The safest option is to purchase tea from the professionals who already invest a great deal of time, effort, and resources into creating safe and lovely beverages for you. Some of my favorite tea rock stars are:
